COVID -19 – UPDATE
Updated 9th March 2021
We are delighted that the updated guidance now means we can welcome visitors back into our Home. We have reviewed the government advice and undertaken our own risk assessments and have put this new visitors plan in place. This is designed to continue to keep our residents and staff as safe as we can whilst we welcome visitors back.
We will be operating an appointment system for all visits whilst the current restrictions are in place. This is to ensure we can meet all of the restrictions and guidelines and open up visiting in a safe environment. Each appointment will be 30 mins long, and only one visitor will be allowed into the Home at any one time. The visitor will need to arrive 45 mins in advance of their appointment to allow time for our health screening and COVID-19 lateral flow test. As we will need to do this screening, visits will need to be Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm until these restrictions ease.
The current guidance means that only one visitor per resident can be allocated. We will ask who this nominated visitor is, and unfortunately this will need to be adhered to. Each visitor will be able to have one visit per week which allows us to ensure that all our residents can be accommodated.
During the visit, visitors will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) which will be provided by the Home on your arrival. The visit will take place in the resident’s room rather than any communal areas – this is to ensure that we can follow our cleaning procedures after the visit and limit any risk to other residents.
Visits in the outdoor visiting pod, and at windows will continue as before with visitors.
We would like to thank everyone for their continued support throughout this period. It means so much to us that we can welcome visitors back into the Home and we look forward to when these restrictions can be eased further.
